Possible breeding of egyptian goose in Czech republic
I spent last weekend on ringing camp in south east part of Czech republic.
Ringing camp is organized on complex of ponds which are as a private property closed to public. So there is almost no disturbance from humans. It is a complex from very small (20x20 meters) till big one ponds. Two of the small pond were drained so there were also some waders on the muds. The camp was excellent. From the rarest birds which were catched were purple heron, night heron, several little bitterns and quite a lot of warblers. What was interesting was that on one pond was family of three egyptian gooses. This bird breed last year for the first time in Czech republic. There were two adults with one chick. Chick was flying (although not very good) so we cannt tell if they breed here or not. This year breed in the whole country two or three other pairs of egyptian goose.

Ferruginous duck is very uncommon in Czech republic.
